B.I.T.C.H.-New Leshai Album Drops July 4

Happy 4th of July! It's a historical day for our country. Freedom, fireworks, family, and of course good music!  Today, Leshai releases her highly anticipated sophomore album B.I.T.C.H. The title says it all.

B.I.T.C.H. contains 10 banging tracks all produced by Splitting Image and written by Leshai.

Peoria,IL-July 4, 2013- This Independence Day, independent artist Leshai releases her sophomore album B.I.T.C.H. through ReverbNation. B.I.T.C.H., which is an acronym for Bad, Independent, Tough, Classy, Hustler, is an album that shows off the singer’s versatility and diverse musical styles. The album contains ten tracks containing the genres Hip-Hop, R&B, Dance, and Rock, respectively.

Unlike the smooth, simplistic style   that can be heard on Leshai’s debut album Devil’s Kiss, B.I.T.C.H. has a more rough and tough tone and delivery. Leshai opens the album up with a raunchy, brash ode to the “bad b.i.t.c.h.e.s.” everywhere. The strong vocal tone Leshai uses backed by a flashy hip-hop beat shows that Leshai is definitely making a statement about what it means to be a B.I.T.C.H.

“A b.i.t.c.h. is an independent woman who stands up for herself and does not let others walk over her,” Leshai said of the controversial album title. “The album shows strength and power. The album shows off my growth as an artist.”

B.I.T.C.H. also contains the hit singles “Haters” and “Bad Boy.” Bad Boy also appeared on Leshai’s 2012 EP, Get Like Me. Fans can expect to hear a variety of issues addressed on B.I.T.C.H. that they can relate to. “Family” is a track that discusses the problems of having a dysfunctional family while “Teacher” flips the script and Leshai asks her lover to teach her how to love. The odd ball of the album, the rock track “Humanity” is an example of the brash delivery Leshai demonstrated throughout the album. The anti-society, anti-crime track asks the rhetorical question, “whatever happened to humanity?” and addresses social issues like greed, exploitation, and jealousy. Aside from hip-hop and rock, fans will also be hearing r&b and dance music with tracks like “Rest of My Life”, “Being With U”, and “Tonight.”

When asked why the album has such a mash-up of genres, Leshai explained that diversity was her main motivation.

“I always want to invoke some type of feeling in my fans when they listen to my music,” Leshai said. “I want them to feel every emotion- love, anger, happiness-whatever it may be. “

Leshai Talks Music with her Producers, Splitting Image

There has been a lot of talk about Leshai since she made her musical debut in 2011 with her album "Devil's Kiss."

While fans have heard the music,watched the videos, and seen all of the pictures, they have yet to see Leshai as the person behind the music.  This is also the first time Leshai has been seen with her producers Splitting Image.

Leshai Releases New Single & Gives Back to Charity

Leshai is back! With a new single that is. After taking a short break after releasing her EP, "Get Like Me" in late 2012, Leshai is back with a brand new single to share with her fans. The song is called "Haters," and the concept of the song is that Leshai lets her haters know that deep down they are really her biggest fans.

"People hate you when they really wanna be you, "Leshai said. "Haters are the most loyal because they keep up with everything you do, what you wear, and your music. They are the biggest fans."

Other than calling out haters, Leshai's new song is unique because  instead of singing, Leshai raps the entire song. Definitely a change from what Leshai fans are used to!

Heavy drums, synth, and a hot rap verse/hook makes for the perfect song.

While Leshai is releasing her new song for her fans, Leshai is also releasing the song to give back to a charity called the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. This charity raises funds to help musicians with disabilities and grave illnesses.

"I love giving back to those in need," Leshai said. "As a musician myself, I can relate to struggling artists and will do anything to help them." 

Leshai has partnered with ReverbNation to help give financial assistance to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.  

Fans who download Leshai's new single "Haters" for only $1,29 on reverbnation will help the charity because half of the proceeds goes to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.
